Hi, I'm Monica and I have chosen this video because it conveys anxiety in a very intense way. This is evident in the chaotic movements of the dancers across the stage, playing with the space, moving closer and further away. Moreover, they use their bodies to express the worry or internal conflict a person might experience when suffering from anxiety. The sharp contrast between the lighting and the haunting music further amplifies this feeling of restlessness. All of this makes it so that we don't just see a simple dance; we feel the deep unease or nervousness the dancers are trying to portray, successfully moving the audience and creating a truly unforgettable emotional experience.
Monica, your justification is clear, mature and strongly connected to body expression: you explain how the dancers communicate anxiety through chaotic pathways and changes in distance, which shows a good understanding of space and audience impact. Your vocabulary is academic and your ideas are well organised, so the reader can easily follow your interpretation. To improve even more, add 1–2 specific references to time and energy (tempo changes, pauses, sharp vs smooth movement quality) and briefly mention how dancers relate to each other (synchrony/contrast). Grade: 8.8/10.
Hi, my name is Paula and I have chosen this video because I am interested in choreographies that express emotions. This choreography is about anxiety and I liked it because it uses very slow and controlled movements, which show tension, tiredness… Throughout the video, you can see how the girls use their bodies to communicate feelings rather than to make fast movements. You can also notice the group work and coordination between them. From a physical education point of view, skills such as body control, coordination and body expression are developed.
Paula, your justification is clear and well structured: you identify the emotion (anxiety) and explain how slow, controlled movement communicates tension and tiredness, which shows good understanding of time and energy in body expression. You also highlight group coordination, linking the performance to key PE skills like body control and expressive movement.
It made me think a lot about how dance can show emotions like anxiety without words. The choreography from Escuela de artes Lumbreras really shows how body movement can express feelings that are hard to explain with words. I learned that dance can be a powerful way to share personal stories and emotions, making the audience feel and understand something deeper.
This video interests me because I like art that makes you reflect on real human experiences. It showed me that art and dance are great tools to explore and communicate feelings we all have but don’t always show. So thanks you Monica for share it whit us.
Your comment is thoughtful and clearly connects the video to non-verbal communication, explaining well how movement can express anxiety and help the audience understand deeper emotions. You reflect on what you learned and you justify your interest in art that represents real human experiences, which shows good critical thinking.
