The video shows us how to use a triangular bandage to create two types of slings: an arm sling, to support a broken or injured arm and an elevation sling to keep the hand and arm raised. Firstly, the injured person holds their forearm across the body in a comfortable position. Then, the other person places the bandage under the arm and around the neck, with the ends tied in a knot near the collarbone. The sling is adjusted so theres circulation in the fingers. For the elevation sling, the forearm is raised slightly before securing with the bandage. I think making this videos is very necessary to educate people.
Thanks Barbara for sharing this post. In this video, I learned how to put a sling on someone who has an arm or shoulder injury. First, we need to stay calm and reassure the injured person. Then, we use a triangular bandage and place it gently under the injured arm. After that, we lift the ends of the bandage and tie them around the back of the neck so the arm is supported. We must make sure the elbow is bent and the hand slightly raised. Finally, we check the fingers to ensure blood circulation and comfort is correct.
ReplyDeleteHi! 👋
DeleteGreat job! Your comment is very clear, well-structured, and shows that you understood perfectly how to apply a sling step by step. I really like that you start by emphasizing the importance of staying calm and reassuring the injured person, which is a key part of any first aid situation — excellent detail! 🙌
You use precise vocabulary (triangular bandage, supported, blood circulation, reassure), and your explanation flows logically from start to finish. That makes it easy to follow and very educational.
To make your comment even better, you could add a short personal opinion at the end — for example, why you think this skill is useful or if you had ever seen it before.
Overall, fantastic work — clear, accurate, and realistic. ✅
Hi! 👋
ReplyDeleteExcellent job! Your comment is very clear, detailed, and shows that you fully understood the procedure explained in the video. You describe each step of how to make both types of slings — arm sling and elevation sling — in a logical and organized way, which makes your explanation easy to follow. 👏
I like that you also mention an important safety detail: checking that there’s circulation in the fingers — that shows real understanding of first aid principles, not just memorizing steps. 🙌
To improve it slightly, you maybe end with a short reflection on why learning this technique can be useful in daily life.
Overall, very complete, well-written, and educational comment. ✅
